Reed’s Built-Ins, Inc. has been serving homeowners, businesses and builders in Utah for over 45 years.  In 1971, Reed began the journey starting his own business installing central vacuum systems and custom cabinets (How the business got it’s name).  He had gained a sound understanding of central vacuum systems and quickly rose to become one of the best in the industry.  Central vacuum soon became the primary focus.  As time went on, the company grew and central vacuum distributors started to become a hub for other residential systems.  Reed then started installing intercom systems and sound systems.  In the early 90’s, Reed expanded the business further and expanded into the security system industry.  He saw the vision of low voltage industry and encompassed it. Reed became one of Utah’s top contractors installing audio systems, video systems, security systems, network systems, home automation, home theater systems, and central vacuum systems.  Laura, his wife, has been with him every step of the way.  She has been a great part of the business managing the office and working with customers.

As a true, ma and pa business, this allowed for Reed and Laura to raise their children and teach them the value of hard work and dedication.  All have had the opportunity to be part of the business.  Currently, Erik and Jordan continue working in the business and hope to carry the business for the next generation.
